This is not a particularly happy recollection of Norcot School. However, it was demolished to make way for a new school, mainly to serve the families in the new Potteries Estate. The new school was originally called Upcroft School but is now known as Meadowpark Academy. Some of the stories in this collection of memories refer to Norcot School when it was a secondary school. Later it was a junior school.
These are photos of Norcot School Just after it had closed and before it was demolished. You can just make out on the right of the second picture that there was a field at the side which was also part of the school. This was where games and nature studies took place. And here is its sad end...
